Laundrapp Agents are usually busy rushing from one collection to the next, which is a shame because we’re really proud of our handpicked team and think it would be great if they had time to chat. That’s why we’ve been sitting down with our best Agents recently, so you can get to know them better.
This time, meet Vlad, one of our very best Laundrapp Agents and someone who has dealt with everything from peacocks to angry filmmakers…
Who are you? What do you enjoy most about being an Agent?
My name is Dinu Vlad Gordan, I’m 28 years old and I’m from a beautiful town in Romania Cluj-Napoca! I enjoy my job because it’s given me the opportunity to meet all different kinds of people and to get to know London better too. I also have the chance to provide a really personal service, which is quite exciting. Delivering clothes is so personal, especially for businesspeople. Nothing compares to starting your day at the office with a fresh washed and ironed shirt on you!
What’s the funniest experience that you’ve had during your shift as a Laundrapp Agent?
I was driving through London one morning on my way to a delivery and on the street were these three huge peacocks, just walking in the middle of the road! I had to get out of the van and get them off the road before they got run over, but I was quite nervous at the time. Peacocks don’t sound scary, but they were making some weird sounds and got all puffed up!
What’s the most embarrassing experience that you’ve had during your shift as a Laundrapp Agent?
Well, at one of my deliveries one of the customers was waiting at the door. He was very excited and he started filming me, asking me all kind of questions about Laundrapp and who I was. I did my best, but I was very embarrassed about that.
What are your favourite tunes to listen to when you’re out on the road?
My favourite song? It depends on what sort of day it is! When it’s raining then I listen to Purple Rain, by Prince. If it’s sunny then I’m usually very happy and listen to Let Your Love Flow by The Bellamy Brothers. Sometimes I’m in a big rush though and I can get quite stressed, so I listen to Staying Alive by the Bee Gees, then relax afterwards with Sitting On The Dock of The Bay by Otis Redding.
What’s your favourite food to eat on the road?
My favourite food are sweets – all of them!
Where’s your favourite place in London?
My favourite place in London is Alexandra Palace and Highgate Bridge – it’s just so beautiful and amazing there.
