Laundrapp Agents are usually busy rushing from one collection to the next, which is a shame because we’re really proud of our handpicked team and think it would be great if they had time to chat. That’s why we’ve been sitting down with our best Agents recently, so you can get to know them better.
This time, meet James, one of our very best Laundrapp Agents and who has already proven popular with some customers, though not with their babies…
Who are you? What do you enjoy most about being an Agent?
I’m James! I’m a big talker, but I have to admit I’m not very good at talking about myself. As for the job, I enjoy it because it’s very easy for me and I get to talk to new people all day long!
What’s the funniest experience that you’ve had during your shift as a Laundrapp Agent?
I have a few stories I could share, but I’ll let you choose which is the funniest!
The first is when I turned up to make a collection and a woman gave me her baby to hold while she got the laundry and he was sick all over me! The next is when a guy asked me out at the door, just after he met me. To be honest, I preferred when a middle aged Asian lady removed her underwear in front of me and put them in the collection bag. She gave me a very big smile afterwards!
What’s the most embarrassing experience that you’ve had during your shift as a Laundrapp Agent?
The most shocking was when a guy did the same as that woman – but he wasn’t even wearing a robe. He just stood there naked, which was pretty embarrassing if I’m honest. I think the most embarrassing was when I fell down a flight of stairs and the lady just stood there laughing at me!
What are your favourite tunes to listen to when you’re out on the road?
Music is one of my favourite things in life and I like to listen to all types. At the moment I’m listening to a lot of Sam Cooke when I work, because it’s great for cheering me up. My favourite song is probably Good Times.
What’s your favourite food to eat on the road?
I like to snack on Green & Black’s Butterscotch Chocolate to keep me going on long shifts.
Where’s your favourite place in London?
My favourite place in London is without a doubt Hyde Park.
