Choosing the Right White Shirt with The Chapar

We speak to Senior Stylist Chelsea...

Tough though it may be for us to admit, there’s more to looking good than just wearing a clean shirt. You’ve got to make sure it’s the right shirt too. But with a hectic modern life, how do you find a shirt that’s flexible to every occasion?

That’s where our friends The Chapar can help, offering a personal stylist service that pairs wonderfully with Laundrapp. We spoke to The Chapar’s Senior Stylist Chelsea to find out what shirt she suggests for a modern man…

Casual FridaySimple yet effective, the white shirt is a smart dressing choice for anyone. A good quality white shirt can work with everything from formal evening wear to casual Friday clothing, so it’s an essential part of your wardrobe.

Chelsea’s shirt of choice is the white Polo Ralph Lauren Oxford shirt. She will give you three White Shirt looks that take you from day to night and all the hours in between.

Date night, dress down Friday and weekend brunch – this will cover the lot. It all depends what you pair it with.

Date nightThe Ralph Lauren shirt paired with a beige LBM 1911 blazer and a Dockers navy chino is a great look for date night, for example. It’s understated and chic and your date won’t be disappointed.

For Dress Down Friday, you can match it with Scotch and Soda Ralston jeans in midnight blue and Bobbie’s grey desert boots. Darker jeans make the look appropriate for work and a cheeky beer after work.

And for the relaxed weekend brunch, Chelsea suggested pairing the shirt with DL 1961 denim and Vico Yale trainers also in navy. Simple, effortless and cool.
